Press releases: 365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas - The Cluster of Excellence REBIRTH has been chosen from about 2,200 applicants to be one Landmark in the Land of Ideas. A look back at the Autumn Academy for teachers. Fifty-five teachers made use of the autumn break to upgrade their skills. Tapping a new source of induced pluripotent stem cells - REBIRTH researchers are developing a simple strategy for producing human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells) from endothelial cells in umbilical cord blood. REBIRTH joined forces with many other German institutes and companies in seeking to acquaint the young audience with science, technology and related careers, and to demonstrate exciting aspects of these fields at the IdeenExpo 2009 which was held from 5 to 13 September 2009 at Hannover's Exhibition Centre.
