REBIRTH Unit Large Animal Models for Myocardial Repair


S. Cebotari (*1974), MD, is chief of the adult cardiac surgery domain within the department of Cardiothoracic, Transplantation and Vascular Surgery at MHH and responsible for heart valve surgery program. He is actively involved in the research of heart valve and myocardial tissue engineering projects. He is heading the research group ‘Large animal Models in Myocardial Regeneration’ supporting research on cellular therapies, as well as disease modelling of and drug development in the respiratory field .with his strong expertise in experimental surgery for in vivo testing of tissue-engineered cardiovascular constructs.
